O lendário criador de personagens como Homem de Ferro, Homem-Aranha, Capitão América entre outros, é considerado a figura mais influente em toda a história dos quadrinhos. Seus amigos e colegas continuam expressando sua dor e gratidão pela forma como o ícone impactou suas vidas e carreiras.
Lee tornou-se conhecido pela criação de personagens de histórias em quadrinhos que levaram à criação de centenas de super-heróis e vilões clássicos conhecidos por suas motivações complexas e dinâmicas interpessoais. Sua filosofia dirigida por personagens inspirou inúmeras séries de quadrinhos e a bilheteria multibilionária do Universo Cinemático da Marvel (MCU).
